For most land surveying services, there can be no standard fee. The cost of a service will depend upon several factors. Among those factors are type of service, size of property being survey, physical condition of property, title condition of property, accessibility of property and of adjacent properties upon which controlling monuments may exist, and the availability of information relevant to the survey.
Another factor will be the standard operating procedures employed by the company engaged to perform the survey. There are some companies who place less than adequately qualified people in key positions and utilize methods which do not ensure the quality of the field work. There are companies that will substitute the information shown on other surveyors’ maps to depict information that should reflect actual measurements made by the engaged surveyor. These types of things, readily observable based upon maps of previous surveys filed by the surveyor, or by having an unlicensed person act as your primary contact and consultant with the company, are strong indicators that other aspects of their work, such as measurements, identification of relevant field evidence, and critical research is substandard as well.
Selkirk-Cabinet Land Surveying will usually not be the least expensive alternative in the area. If price of service is your top consideration, there are other alternatives for you. If high quality of work, a high level of professional knowledge and service at a reasonable fee is what you desire, Selkirk-Cabinet Land Surveying would be an excellent, and in many cases, the best choice to provide the surveying you need.
